BEHIND THE FLYING SAUCERS (full book)

Published in 1950, it is widely-regarded as the first book on “flying saucers”. The modern use of that term had begun in 1947, following the Kenneth Arnold sighting. A successful book, it may have popularized “crash retrieval” reports. “Exposés” of the book were later published, notably in TRUE magazine.

ABOMINABLE SNOWMEN: LEGEND COME TO LIFE (chapter 10)

Published in 1961, written by noted naturalist (degrees in botany and zoology from Cambridge University) Ivan T. Sanderson. In over 500 pages, Sanderson surveys reports from around the world of “hairy bipeds”. This particular chapter covers Malaysia, and was selected for digitization due to its relevance to reports of the “Malaysian Bigfoot” in 2006.

SPIRIT MATERIALIZATIONS (full book)

Published in 1923, the book provides both an overview and personal experiences with the spiritualism movement of the time.  Many accounts of séances are included.  The beginning of the book is a section called “Explanation”, with concepts and terminology.
